MRS. JANE NUGENT.

 Mrs. Jane Nugent, widow of the late J.
H. Nugent, died at her residence, 82 Rox-
bury st., last night, aged 62.
 Mrs. Nugent was a lifelong resident of
Roxbury, and well-known throughout the
district.
 Ten children survive her, five sons and
five daughters.
 Solemn requiem mass will be held in St.
Joseph's church, Roxberry, the interment
ln the family lot at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

His Widow's Will Set Aside and $20,000
Divided Among the Children.
---
 The contest over the money left by the
widow of ex-Alderman James H. Nugent
has been settled.
 When Mrs.JaneNugent died she left
property worth $20,000. Ten children sur-
vived her. She left eight of them $1
apiece. To Mrs. Jane Patterson, wife of
Police Inspector Patterson, and Frank
Nugent, she bequeathed $10,000 apiece.
 The other children contested the will on
the ground that their mother was of un-
sound mind and had been subjected to
undue Influence. Judge Lathrop, in the
Superior Court yesterday, sustained their
contention, and the will has been sent
back to the Probate Court and the decisi-
ion recorded.
