Brown of Northport Community dies at age 29. Funeral services for Esther Laura Brown, wife of Cecil H. Brown, who passed away Friday at the Bridgeport hospital following a brief illness, were held at the local Presbyterian church on Monday afternoon. Rev. Howard Osborne of Sidney conducted the services and interment was at the Oregon Trail Memorial park. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Brown is survived by her two children, Carl Daniel, 5, and Linda Lee, 2. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Mount of Northport are also surviving as well as four sisters, Mrs. Rita Kieselhorst of San Bernardino, Calif., Mrs. Margret Middleton and Mrs. Maude Cook of Northport and Phyllis Mount of Washington D. C., and two brothers, Clarence of Northport, and James Calvin of Salem, Oregon. One brother, William, died in 1911. Mrs. Brown's sudden demise came as a severe shock to her many friends. She was born in Northport on December 22, 1915, and had spent her entire life in the community. She attended grade school at Northport, high school at Bridgeport and the State Teachers college at Chadron. Following her graduation, she taught in the Morill county rural schools for four years. She was united in marriage to Cecil H. Brown on May 25, 1938. Mrs. Brown joined the Bridgeport Presbyterian church in early youth and took an active part in church afairs. One of the leaders in the Northport community, she leaves a host of friends to mourn her passing. Among the out of town relatives attending the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. R. Kieselhorst, son Clarence, and Mrs. Maude Suddaby, of San Bernardino, Calif., Miss Phyllis Mount of Washington, D. C., J. C. White of Council Bluffs, Dwight Mount of Rapid City, S. D., Jesse Mount of North Platte, Mrs. Alice Revnolds of Alliance, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Anders and son Cozad and Mr. and Mrs. Blanche Rassmussen of Naponee, Nebr.
