On the Twentyninth day of December in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty four
Before us the undersigned Notaries Public, duly commissioned and sworn in
and for that part of Canada, heretofore constituting the Province of Lower
Canada, residing at the City of Quebec, personally came and appeared, Bartholomew
Brown of the Township of Ireland Yeoman
of the one part,
and William Forsyth of the Parish of the Joseph P???L??? Gentlemen
respected heads by Richard Charles Porter of the Township of
Ireland Yeoman his attorney of the other part,
which said parties have covenanted, declared and agreed together as follows:
that is to say, the said Bartholomew Brown for
divers good causes and considerations, and for the further consideration of
?????? Shillings current money of Canada, to him in
hand, well and truly paid at the time of the execution hereof by the said
William Forsyth
the receipt of which he doth
hereby acknowledge, did as by these presents, he doth grant, bargain, sell and
confirm unto the said William Forsyth all that
certain lot, parcel, or tract of land situate, lying and being in the Township
of Ireland in the County of Megantic
in the District of Quebec known and distinguished
as the lot number twenty two in the Sixth Range of
the Said Township Containing two hundred acres
of land more or less in ???????? with the
